About Me

As a yoga teacher, I draw from years of experience working in-depth with the body and work to facilitate whole body alignment in my students, both physically and energetically.  I specialize in vinyasa yoga, a breath-inspired practice that focuses on flowing in and out of poses with ease. My passion for yoga stems from a deep understanding and love of movement, meditation, dance, and the precise alignment of the body. From an early age my training as a dancer introduced me to the mind-body connection and the power that comes with this awareness. I have experience working with bodies suffering from chronic pain, injury, illness  and other forms of dis-ease. With hands on adjustments, I deliver immediate results and a greater sense of ease and body awareness in my students.

Along with vinyasa yoga, I also teach restorative, therapuetic, hatha, and power-vinyasa yoga.  My 200 hour certification was done with Om yoga teachers Cyndi Lee, Cristie Clark, and Frank Mauro and I am currently working towards my 500 hour certification blending the study of Embodyoga, Body Mind Centering, Feldenkrais, and Om Yoga into my practice and teaching.

As a child I bought a yoga book, brought it home, and began to move my body into the poses.  My practice has been developing more seriously for the last 10 years and I have been teaching since my initial training in 2006. My experience includes teaching in hospitals, wellness centers, universities, yoga studios, and gyms. My goal in teaching is to bring an increased body awareness into each one of my students, helping them to find more fluidity and ease in their everyday movements. I earned a BFA from the University of Minnesota’s dance department, work as a professional dancer, seamstress, and baker, and hope to one day have a garden bigger than my kitchen.
